The Show is Back Again!
After the briefest of hiatus' due to the Seahawks' Pre Season games we are back in action this week with a full 3 hour show! Woohoo!
This week we hear from our two distinguished weekly correspondents: Michael Teer of Pike and Wester Wine Shop and Amy Pennington of GoGoGreenGarden .
T & T are also pleased to welcome into the studio, Sharon Welsh (AkA: The Oyster Lady ) to talk about her book "Oyster Cookery" She's also got a great recipe she's going to share over the airwaves. (You can take a peak at her fabulous recipe just over to the right of this page)

A shortened show...
...doesn't mean it's short on fun! This week our show ends at 5:30 due to the Seahawks' preseason game. However, Tom will be coming live and direct to all you listeners from Suncadia in Cle Elum, WA!
Tom will be onsite for Suncadia's Wine in the Pines and will be talking with Chef Andrew Wilson about the event, as well as checking in with our weekly regulars, Amy Pennington of Go Go Green Garden and Michael Teer of Pike and Western Wine Shop.

The weather may have cooled down...

On this week's show we check in with our weekly guest, Ms. Amy Pennington of Go Go Green Garden fame, to ask her about her blossoming project Urban Garden Share. Tom and Thierry will also talk tool technique: this week it's all about your boning knife!

Tom's on Air & Thierry's in the Kitchen
Thierry is working the kitchen at Rover's this weekend while Tom man's the radio waves solo style!
Tom will talk to our vixen of vegetables, Amy Pennington of Go Go Green Garden, for the weekly garden report. She's going to give a tip or two on gardening and school us on what's good to pick and eat at the farmer's markets, or perhaps even in your own backyard!
Tom will also be talking tool technique and giving away a gift from his Tom Douglas by Pinzon line. In this first hour you'll also hear him talk about something near and dear to his heart: EBAY!
And before Tom signs off early due to the Sounders FC game, he will chat with Michael Teer, from Pike and Western Wine Shop, about a wine of the week while also letting you know the spot lighted recipe for this Saturday.

Heat Wave in Seattle Calls for Ice Cream to the Rescue!
On this week's show we try and cool down from all this record breaking heat by talking about everyone's much beloved summer time treat: ICE CREAM!
Our in studio guest this Saturday is Justin Cline, from Full Tilt Ice Cream. He'll talk to us about all his yummy treats that take the edge off of this crazy weather! Tom and Thierry will also share a great recipe so that you can make your own frozen delight at home. Feeling cooler already, right?
The boys will be talking with our weekly guest experts: urban garden maven, Amy Pennington of Go Go Green Garden and wine guru extraordinaire, Michael Teer from Pike and Western Wine Shop. Amy P. will tell you what you should be eating from your garden and Michael's going to give his sage advice on wine pairing with our weekly recipe.

Summer Time In The Kitchen

Urban Farming & Tinola!
This week on the show, we're talking food in the city with Urban Farmer Novella Carpenter. Novella lives in the heart of Oakland, Ca and has slowly converted the deserted lot next door into an urban farm complete with a veggie patch, chickens and rabbits. Her new book "Farm City" choronicles her time on the 'farm', and we're curious to hear the story.
Do you know what Tinola is? We didn't either.........until we met up with Seattle food writer, Angela Garbes. Tune in to learn a trick or two in making a traditional Filipino dish.
