By and About Tens

Here's my (becoming weekly) roundup of cool stuff going on in the land of the tens.

If you are in SoCal and looking for something awesome to do this weekend, our prom queen (Marie-Reine) is throwing a prom on Saturday and all tens are invited:

Tanner and Jim (of the Brooklyn 10s) alerted me to a project near and dear to them, Must Love Robots

Joe-Michael in Denver spotted another license plate:

And updating our wolf t-shirt story (you know, the one with magical powers...)

three wolf

Alissa received the bad news from Amazon that it is sold out.

Then Paula sent me this statement from the company that makes it:

We are a New Hampshire company and some of the folks you ridicule are our neighbors, our friends and those that make our shirts, that are part of The Mountain family. They are the working class of America. Not everyone can start out at the top and not everyone from our neck of the woods lives in a trailer or cruises Walmart to hook up (though we do shop there for cheap Blue Rays). We are inspired by our natural surrounding, nature, you can mock it, but please do us a favor and don't visit.

There's definitely some validity to the complaint that alot of the "reviews" were solely for the purpose of mocking the poor, which is not awesome.

I love the fact that the wolf team over at "The Mountain" have a sense of humor about wolf power (if you read their whole statement) and aren't just poop-holes about it all...

    Thanks for the update Jen.
After reading through the entire statement and looking over The Mountain's stock, I have to say that I just might become a sincere (almost entirely un-ironic) customer. I do have a love for primitive breed dogs, wolves, & foxes. It is funny what's in the "Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed" section: "How to Live with a Huge Penis: Advice, Meditations, and Wisdom for Men Who Have Too Much (Paperback)"

    Poor vs. poor taste
The 3 wolf design t-shirt is fun to mock because it's really hideous and is indicative of a style of t-shirt that certain people tend to wear while being oblivious to it's awful design. These people aren't "poor" as in no-money, but they certainly make poor fashion choices. For The Mountain to pull this "working class of America" crap is total BS. People who wear plain white T's aren't working class? Aren't American? Unless I'm missing the whole thing and they agree and understand the place in the fashion eco-system they inhabit.
