Video: Ron Sims gets ambushed

We'll be talking with the gentleman who won the lawsuit.

On Thursday's show Dori interviewed the plaintiff in that lawsuit, Armen Yousoufian, about Sims' comments.

    More research needed....
Not to put too fine a point on it, but was Ron Sims, specifically fined any amount of money or was King County fined? Yes, King County lost the case; but the question of Ron Sims truthfulness (at least in this matter) revolves around whether the court ordered him, personally, to pay a fine.

Monson slander, pursuit of Ron Sims is pathological
Dori Monson lied, defacto slander, Ron Sims. Dori claimed that Ron Sims, as a member of the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) had committed a crime by lowballing projected cost of Sound Transit light rail to improve chances of passage of a funding referendum, and another crime in covering up the first. Sims had not been a member of RTA at that time (2001); so Monson’s charges are easily proved false. Dori’s charged were based on an article printed by the PI in 2001 (Chris McGann), and then withdrawn within 10 days by the PI, after intensive research, as without substantiation. Dori chanded Gary Locke, Paul Schell and Greg Nickels of same crimes. PI managing editor, Dave McCumber, appeared on Dave Ross and Dori Monson shows to offer verbally the PI apology and retraction. Dori said to McCumber that being an entertainer, not a journalist, he [Monson] did not have to apologize, and he did not. I have both PI articles along with a cover note from the PI researcher that sent me copies. Monson is pathological in his pursuit of Sims. Slander for program ratings. Unethical, but practical.

    Dori - electronic stalker
Hell hath no fury like Dori Monson’s hatred of Ron Sims. (Actually Dori may not hate Sims, but that is his programming ploy, and he’s sticking to it.) I been around Sims, know him a little bit, and think him a good man. Sims is an ordained Baptist (I an atheist), Sims has worked on the streets of Seattle helping homeless one-on-one. (Maybe that is what irks Dori so.) Dori has been an electronic stalker; will Dori go to Washington DC in pursuit of Sims? Again, Sims is a good man target by Monson for programming ratings.

    like hatred of Jim McDermott
This is like Dori’s professional hatred of Jim McDermott. Two or three months ago, Dori said that McDermott was a convicted criminal. Fact: McDermott lost a civil suit to political opponent, New Gingrich lieutenant, John Boehner, McDermott was not charge with a crime. Its all artificial fury to boost program ratings. Sad

    Hey Nonsense and Chucky
You two should get your own show like Ron and Don and you could call it...No it's my turn to talk...No, it's my turn, no, it mine! WAAAAAA! or Dumb and Dumber. Why don't you two exchange email addresses or phones numbers and let the rest of us have a say. No one's going to read your drivel anyway if you can't say it in a paragraph. Jeeeze! Give it a rest.

    Technically..... (re shadetree101)
Everyone here writes a paragraph because this primitive forum software does not allow and literary formatting. How sad for the Seattle area to have such poor technology made available to the public. Maybe that's why KIRO no longer even cares to update their WIRED blog (http://mynorthwest.com/wired)
