Dramatic drop in King County home prices

The average price of a home sold in King County has fallen well below $500,000.
Another dramatic change is the drop in the median price of houses sold in August, down double-digits - eleven percent - compared to August of last year. The median price of a single family home was $424,000, half the homes for more, half for less.
The figures from the Northwest Multiple Listings Service show pending sales of houses in August in King County were down 16-percent from the same time last year.
