UW Building Evacuated for Chemical Spill
The University of Washington's Ocean Sciences building was evacuated for a chemical spill Monday.
Helen Fitzpatrick, with the Seattle Fire Department, says someone in the building accidentally mixed sulfuric acid with chlorine, which resulted in a cloud of toxic gas.
The building was immediately evacuated and everyone got out safely. Seattle Fire Department's Hazardous Materials Unit has cleared the building.
