Senate Republicans get "Cheeky"
710 KIRO Reporter
Some might call it the "moon" over Senate Republicans.
During an argument last week, State Senator Pam Roach says senate Republican minority leader Mike Hewitt bent over and mooned her with his pants on. "I jumped up out of my chair... and said go ahead and punch me I'd like to sue you!" Roach tells 710 KIRO.
The argument last week reportedly started over a precinct caucus list.
Hewitt hasn't been available for comment this week.
Other Republican leaders disciplined Roach for another, earlier incident. They believe Roach is coming out now, distorting the backside incident to deflect attention from being disciplined.
Senator Mark Schoesler was there for the argument, he says Hewitt was being playful and trying to diffuse the situation, "It's unfortunate that Senator Roach has chosen to attack Senator Hewitt for events that really aren't an issue."
Roach, always outspoken, is calling Republican leadership a disaster. She says they have no new people donating money and Hewitt has done a horrible job recruiting candidates.
