Fall storm blowing into Puget Sound
Forecasts are calling for a strong storm to blow into Western Washington on Thursday.
KIRO 7 meteorologist Sam Argier predicts that showers will begin on Thursday early afternoon before turning into heavy rain and windy conditions throughout the day and evening. The highest winds are forecast for the coast, northwest interior and Cascades.
A flood watch is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon for Skokomish and Nooksack rivers.
Forecasters say unsettled weather will continue into next week as a series of disturbances move through Western Washington.
