Researchers say swine flu is hitting young people hardest. And with vaccines still hard to come by, Washington's health secretary is trying get people to prioritize.

Mary Selecky is encouraging anyone born before 1957 to wait, so those at highest risk can get vaccinated sooner.

"We expect by mid to late November that we'll have enough vaccine. I promise we'll come out and say to people 'ya'll get in line.' I'll be the first to say it's time for me and it's time for you," said Selecky.

Selecky said she doesn't plan to get her vaccination anytime soon. "I'm 62 years old. I'm going to wait because young people, pregnant women should get the vaccine first."

But she said older people should still get their seasonal flu vaccine right away.

Sure... welcome to Obama care. The older folks are disposable.
We can't produe enough vaccine for everyone (even though THEY hyped this thing and promised it) so let's just prioritize the recipients... 20-30 somethings first... old folks last. No death panels here... no sir!

for frame of reference... this was the headline when I made my previous comment. I'm certain it will be changed quickly.

    Captain America, are you sane?
Normally old people are among the first because they are most at risk. Now for swine flu they are the least at risk, so they SHOULD go last. They still get priority with seasonal flu. Or maybe you think old people are more deserving to live than children and pregnant women?

    The Great Error
Already some moron is suggesting certain ages are more deserving of life than others. Listen up retard, all ages are equal in their opportunity to the rights given by God. It is the responsibility of the state to protect those rights, not to grant them or to redistribute them.

No Omnicient... I'm not suggesting that anyone has more rights to anything.
I'm suggesting that it has begun. Under the auspices of our dear leader there is not enough healthcare to go around... and they are starting to decide who can, and who cannot get simple treatments that could save lives. Welcome to the brave new world... the explainations sound so reassuring don't they? The older folks aren't really all that succeptible. But where is the giant supply of vaccine they promised?? If they knew what the heck they were doing this wouldn't even be an issue.
