King County offers free H1N1 vaccinations
KIRO Radio
A glimmer of hope has arrived for people at high risk of the swine flu that don't have health insurance.
King County is offering free H1N1 vaccinations for uninsured people with significant health problems.
Eligible King County residents will be people under the age of 64 without health insurance who suffer from significant health problems.
The County has received fewer doses of the vaccine than they expected and are focusing on providing the vaccine to those most at risk.
"We're asking people to be patient because availability is still quite limited," says County Health Preparedness Director Michael Loehr.
Those who qualify for this round of shots may visit one of four area public clinics offering the free vaccine:
White Center Public Health Center
10821 8th Ave SW, Seattle
Alder Square Public Health Center
1404 Central Ave S. Suites 101 & 112, Kent
North Public Health Center
10501 Meridian Ave N., Seattle
Federal Way Public Health Center
33431 13th Place S., Federal Way
For full list of clinic hours visit the King County Public Health website.
