Autistic boy hit and killed by truck
A boy with autism who ran away from his SeaTac home Saturday night and ran into traffic, has died.
Devine Justice Farrier, 11, was struck by a one ton flat bed truck in Tukwila.
Monica Alexander with the State Patrol tells KIRO 7, the truck driver couldn't see the boy at the intersection of highway 599 at 99, "(Farrier) came across the first two lanes, made that successfully, jumped the barrier and then as he was crossing the last two lanes he was struck by a truck."
Alexander said the truck had tried to swerve out of the way, but the truck hit the boy in the middle of a sweeping curve on the road and there wasn't enough time for the driver to see him.
