A Coast Guard helicopter crew plucked a fan of the book series "Twilight" from a cliff 150-feet above the rocky shoreline near La Push Tuesday.

A statement from the Quileute Nation says the 22-year-old man from Georgia was visiting the spot he believed was the location where a character in the second "Twilight" book goes cliff diving.

The young Twilight fan might have decided he's not the brave Hollywood type.

La Push police called in the Coast Guard, which dispatched a real life rescue helicopter to hover and finally lift the stranded visitor from his precarious perch on Little James Island, high above the Pacific Ocean.

A statement from the Quileutes says, while they understand the eagerness of fans to seek out every detail of the the movie, they remind fans of Twilight, "this is a work of fiction."
